And baby makes five!
Kristin Cavallari and her hubby Jay Cutler welcomed their third child together Monday, with the Hills alum announcing the birth of their baby girl on Instagram. "Saylor James Cutler was born today at 132pm!!," she captioned a shot of an adorable pink printed onesie, Saylor's birth certificate and cream headband.
If that onesie is any indication of Saylor's style, this is going to be one fashionable tot. Earlier this month, Kristin told American Baby she was thrilled to shop for her, saying, "Stuart Weitzman makes the cutest baby-girl shoes! I am excited to make some girly purchases." Particularly, because little Saylor is the first daughter for the couple, who have two sons, 18-month old Jaxon Wyatt and 3-year-old Camden Jack.
Kristin told the mag she couldn't wait to see her hubby fall for their little girl, saying, "She's going to steal Jay's heart, which will in turn melt mine! I'm excited for the boys to grow up with a sister. I think it will help them to better understand and respect women."
The reality star first announced she was expecting a third child in May, writing on Instagram, "We're at it again!" she wrote on Instagram. "Thrilled to announce baby number 3 is on the way! The cutler crew just keeps growin'!"
Congratulations to Kristin and Jay on the birth of their baby girl!
Never forget someone's birthday again: A new app wants to make gifting as easy and fast as writing "HBD" on your friend's Facebook wall.
Cool AF e-commerce site AHAlife has created an app that boasts it helps you give a gift in 60 seconds or less. OK, AHAlife, we're listening.
The free Apple app Aha (it comes out for Android next month) helps you select an awesome gift from AHAlife's curated lifestyle inventory, including luxe beauty products, cool gadgets, unique jewelry and art.
The first step is to download the app and give it permission to access your contacts and Facebook profile, and it will keep track of your friends' and family members' B-days.
When you're ready to give a gift, you browse through the catalog of 25,000 items organized by personality, like style maven, techie and foodie. Then, you write a message and the recipient gets a text message with a link to the gift. You'll know exactly when he or she virtually opens the card and unwraps the gift, because you will receive push notifications on your phone, according to Fast Company.
If the birthday boy or girl doesn't like the gift, no need to stress. They are presented with 20 - 30 other options that cost 10 percent more or less than what you originally selected - and you won't ever know, which makes the whole situation wayyyyy less awkward. Once they've picked something, they enter their own shipping info, and only then are you asked for your payment info. Easy-peasy.
It's so easy for people to sit behind their computers and criticize someone. Whether you've seen it online with people you know or you've seen it happen to a celebrity, we've sadly all seen cyberbullying. If you've ever had it happen to you, you are especially familiar with the pain one person's angry, unfounded comment can cause.
In this short video by filmmaker Will Rebein, he compiled some of the actual comments he's seen about Kylie and had someone read them aloud. The result is profoundly heartbreaking.
For years, people have cruelly commented on Kylie's appearance, always pitting her against her sisters Kendall and Kim, and suggesting that her looks are inferior. It's unreal that people take the time out of their day to write these comments, and forget that there is a real person potentially seeing these things and internalizing them. People used to always criticize Kylie for having thin lips, then when she got injections people tried to tear her down - the public will never be satisfied. People forget that Kylie Jenner is a real person; just a young 18 year old girl. This anonymous hate culture on gossip sites is out of control, and I thought by reading these comments (which were literally just taken from the top comments of two articles) and showing imagery of Kylie makes them seem more real and realize how painful the words can be.
The comments ranged from general criticism of Kylie and her family to some aimed directly at her appearance.
They went on to compare her to sister Kendall, who, fwiw, also gets hateful comments - we'll get back to that in a second - which is proof that you can't possibly please everyone and why would they even want to?
"Kendall is gorgeous here, Kylie's face is just disgusting," one comment said. "Kylie's face has been absolutely massacred, as has Khloe's and Kim's. They are all virtually unrecognizable. Kendall the beauty and Kylie the beast," another says. And more of the same... "Kendall looks lovely, Kylie not so much....Kylie the troll and her supermodel sister."
Now back to the Kendall thing. OK, so according to the haters Kylie sucks and Kendall is perfect, right? Not so much. Aw, come on, you KNOW the haters wouldn't be happy with letting anyone feel good about themselves, even at someone else's expense.
Last year, at almost exactly this time, Kendall made a "burn book" for DAZED, where she wrote out comments she'd heard about herself:
Meanwhile, Kendall and Kylie remain unbothered and awesome:
Blake Lively never ceases to amaze us. So, it's only fitting that she even takes hiking to the next level.
After showing off her fierce braid inspired by her nature hike on an island last week, the Age of Adaline star took things up a notch with a new Instagram post that showed her displaying some serious balance on a cliff.
"When you feel SSSUUPER impressive. And then you see the photo and realize, no matter how old you THINK you get, you'll always be 7 #Acceptance ," Blake joked in a caption on it. Talk about one fun mom.
Blake isn't the only one who likes having fun outdoors. Her hubby, Ryan Reynolds, is a self-proclaimed environmentalist and loves taking hikes with his daughter as well. "I take her on hikes all the time. It's great!," Ryan told Us Weekly earlier this month. "She's outside all the time. One of the reasons I go hiking is for exercise, so having an 18 pound baby on you is just a better workout!"
While it's not clear if little James has been in tow while her mom has been hiking, the tyke has been spotted with her while she's been in Australia shooting her new shark thriller The Shallows. Considering Ryan has gone back and forth to Australia when he's had breaks from work, we wouldn't be surprised if little James has gotten a taste of the trails in Australia too.
Kylie is known for her wild hair extensions, keeping us all on our toes for the latest trend in hair color. Instead of living your hair dreams vicariously through Kylie, you may soon be able to afford weekly hair extensions of your own. Holla!
Carnegie Mellon University has developed 3D printing technology called furbrication, allowing us to print hair in different colors using a standard 3D printer. The catch is that the "hair" is actually a flexible plastic material. The material does have the flowy look look of hair (kind of) - check it out in the video below:
The process definitely has some potential, and the developers are on the right track with the long-term vision to provide easy, at-home extensions that don't cost a bajillion dollars like Kylie's. Hopefully the team at Carnegie will develop a material that is more like actual hair and not just the kind troll dolls have, as shown in the video (Kylie would never sport that ratchet look.)
Want more at-home beauty devices? Ask for this 3D makeup printer for Christmas.
Rumors are swirling that Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are dating, but is there any truth to the new couple buzz? Gigi is just coming off her split from Joe Jonas, after all.
Us Weekly reports that Zayn and Gigi were seen together at an AMAs after party in West Hollywood and they're reportedly "seeing each other."
A source told the site: "It's a very new thing. They're just seeing where it goes ." Another source squealed: "I wouldn't call them boyfriend and girlfriend, but seeing each other? Definitely. He's chuffed."
An eyewitness told the site: "Gigi was leaving The Nice Guy. Gigi went out the front, though. She walked down the street and jumped into the car where Zayn was waiting to pick her up."
Sure enough, Us Weekly has photos of the two in a car together!
Remember back in the day when 5 Seconds Of Summer frontman Luke Hemmings revealed that he had a crush on Selena Gomez? Well, it seems like that may have sparked some unnecessary drama between them and you-know-who. Yep, her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
5SOS chatted with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the American Music Awards on Sunday, where they worried that the jokes awhile back about Luke's crush has damaged their ability to get close with Bieber.
"We think that Justin Bieber actually hates us and we're actually worried that it's because of this strange rumor," Michael Clifford explained. "I just wanna be friends with Justin Bieber," Luke added. He added that he'd be fine looking past his crush on Selena if that would help.
"We want to cut the beef - we want to slice it into thing thin-cut beef," band member Ashton Irwin chimed in. What do you say, Biebs?
If you're a Pretty Little Liars fan, you know that things get real after the show's creepy theme song plays. The tune that has accompanied the show's funeral-inspired opening credits is "Secret" by the band The Pierces, but most of us know it only by the song's association with the ABC Family series. So how did the song end up attached to the show? We can thank our girl Ashley Benson for making it happen.
How the theme song was selected was brought up in a promo for the Pretty Little Liars special "5 Years Forward." In the promo, "little liars" Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, and Lucy Hale are discussing the show alongside showrunner/head woman in charge I. Marlene King. As they reminisce about the early days of PLL, Troian mentions that it was Ashley who discovered the iconic tune: "I remember [Ashley] was playing it off of [her] phone, and was like, 'please, this would be so cool,'" says Troian of the awesome musical discovery. It turns out that Ash had great taste, because the network approved the song and it became the series' theme.
So how did Ashley discover the song in the first place? One potential way may have been from hearing it on that other show about an anonymous stalker threatening to reveal everyone's secrets. Gossip Girl also featured "Secret" in an episode, and it was as delightfully creepy then as it is now: While Gossip Girl certainly made this song work, it's hard to associate it with any TV series other than PLL. This song may not have been written for PLL, but it fits so perfectly among the mayhem of Rosewood that it may as well have been.
Check out the preview for the new special below:
'Tis the season! The holidays are here, and it's time to get your sparkly dress of the season, put up your tree, and of course, pick out holiday cards. Sending out holiday cards will never get old (OMG can you image how perfect Taylor's probably are?), but it's tough to squeeze in time to make (not to mention send out) the perfect holiday card.
Here are five apps that will save your life this season and make holiday cards for under $3 that even Taylor would approve of.
Postagram: For the travelerThis app isn't as snazzy as others, but it's perfect if you've traveled a ton this year and want to send a postcard-esque holiday card with a sweet message. It's super easy to upload your photo from your phone, Instagram, or Facebook; then just create a message and choose where to send!
Ink: For the fancy in youInk is made by the same company as Postagram, but offers over 500 different designs to customize photos into actual greeting cards. You can even upgrade your card to be on nicer paper if you really want to impress who you're sending it too. #GreetingsOnFleek
Punkpost: Calling all hipsters!Punkpost is one of the trendiest apps of the bunch, with one-of-a-kind designs by artists the company's partnered with. They claim their service to be "as quick as texting," making it a super convenient and trendy service. Check out some of the rad designs on their website.
Red Stamp: The classic go-toRed Stamp has been around for a minute and has a 4.5/5 star rating on iTunes out of over 2,000 reviews. With over 2,000 designs, the app is pretty trendy; they aren't as edgy as Punkpost, but they have family-friendly options that are fierce enough to embody your personality and also send home to mom.
Touchnote: For efficiency-loversThis is another easy-to-use app that sends both standard greeting cards and postcards. Like the other apps, they print on premium paper - plus address, stamp, and send envelopes free of charge.
Leave it to Carrie Underwood to keep things country classy. The singer graced the red carpet at the 2015 American Music Awards, and didn't have any smack to talk when it came to Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert's infamous split.
While chatting with Entertainment Tonight, Carrie wasn't about the drama. She was all about not taking sides on the country music couple's divorce a few months ago.
"Well, I only saw both at the CMAs last, but you know they're both amazing people," Carrie said. "And I think, above all, us country folk, our community, we're family and we just want everybody to be happy."
Watch the video below to see what Carrie had to say about her marriage to her husband Mike Fisher and their new baby boy. There's definitely no split coming for them anytime soon! #SoCute.
Reid Ewing is best known for playing Haley's lovable (if dimwitted) on again, off again boyfriend Dylan on Modern Family, but he recently penned an essay that showed just how little he once loved himself. 27-year-old Reid recently penned an essay for the Huffington Post about his battle with body dysmorphic disorder, a condition that caused him to seek out plastic surgeries in order to "fix" the things that he didn't like about himself. He then went on Good Morning America to discuss the essay, and in the segment, made a comment that made one fan on Twitter question his sexuality. Reid's response to that user deserves a very long slow clap.
Reid was featured in a segment alongside another man who suffered from BDD, and casually mentioned that he found the man attractive. A Twitter user then asked if that meant that Reid had just "outed" himself. Here's what Reid replied:
Reid wasn't discussing his sexuality in the Good Morning America segment, so the fact that someone chose to take that away from his discussion of his BDD means that this person likely missed the point entirely. Though it's a tad disappointing that Reid's sexuality is what this person wants to talk about, Reid's nonchalant response is pretty epic - after all, who really cares who Reid is attracted to? Clearly Reid didn't feel like making a big gesture about what gender he's interested in, because at the end of the day it has nothing to do with who he is as an actor or public figure. He's not hiding his sexuality: he's just being Reid.
@MichaelJMapes I was never in- Reid Ewing (@media_reid) November 21, 2015
People who make bold statements about coming out of the closet are brave, and they should be applauded for letting the world in on who they are. At the same time, I think it's a good thing that we don't always have to make a big announcement about who we are attracted to or fall in love with: if straight people don't have to "come out" as hetero, why should anyone else? Kudos to Reid for reminding us that he has nothing to hide when it comes to who he is.
If you thought the "Netflix and chill" button was cool, this pizza-ordering button is going to blow your mind.
Since there can never be a way to get pizza delivered fast enough, UK-based Domino's has come up with a lightning-speed solution, according to Engadget: A physical button that you press to get a pizza delivered to you, pronto.
It's called The Easy Order button, and it comes in a digital and physical version. We prefer the physical button obvz, because it's soooo much more satisfying to hit a button IRL. The magnetic button is powered by Flic, which can be programmed to do certain tasks on your phone via Bluetooth (like shut off an alarm from across the room). In this case, it syncs up to the Domino's app, where your address, payment info and fave pizza toppings are saved. YAAAS. Without the IRL button, you can just do one-click ordering on your phone. The buttons will start rolling out for Brits in December.
Sadly, the button isn't available outside of the UK, but we Americans do have the perk of ordering a pizza just by Tweeting a pizza emoji, reports Engadget. All you have to do is set up a Domino's Pizza Profile with your Twitter handle and tell them what your "Easy Order" pizza is. (Half olives, half pineapple? We don't know you.) Then, you'll get a DM with a confirmation of your order!
Finding pizza has never been so easy <3.
While Jenelle Evans is moving on with her life and trying to stay on the straight and narrow, it seems that her ex-husband is unfortunately still having some trouble with the law.
Courtland Rogers, who Jenelle was once arrested with, seems to have landed himself on the wrong side of the law once again and was reportedly arrested in North Carolina.
According to TMZ, Courtland was taken in for failing to appear in court, along with some other charges, including 'heroin possession and two counts of probation violation.' WSOC reports that he has also been charged with being a habitual felon.
Jenelle and Courtland were known for airing out their dirty laundry on Twitter, but it seems that the reality star is staying quiet on the issue for the time being. Another sign that she's trying hard not to go back to her old ways.
Sophia Grace and Rosie show off their super cute interviewing skills in this clip from the Ellen DeGeneres Show, where, among other celebs, they get in some face time with One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer. Wow, wish we had that gig!
The ladies chat up Luke Bryan, Pentatonix, Walk the Moon, Gigi Hadid (who says she's their biggest fan!), and 5 Seconds of Summer, who they ask, "Do you have any crushes on any people?" Well...Ellen, of course!
And the ladies even get a super special 5SOS souvenir - Michael Clifford's chewed up gum. Get that bad boy on eBay!
Their excitement over Meghan Trainor has to be the absolute cutest, plus they have a chat with Carrie Underwood, telling her that Shawn Mendes totes has a crush on her. Too bad she's married!
The guys of One Direction stopped in to talk with Sophia Grace and Rose - and when they asked, "Do you have any crushes on girls," the guys admitted to nothing. Harry said, "No, never," while Liam explained: "Girls are smelly."
I can't be the only one whose heart shattered into a billion pieces when I learned that TeenNick had cancelled Degrassi, right? Fortunately for fans, we won't be saying goodbye to Degrassi Community School: Netflix has picked up the Canadian teen soap, and the show that taught us everything there is to know about being a teenager will be able to do so for another generation of kids. The Netflix iteration is called Degrassi: Next Class, and it just released a trailer. Be prepared to feel all of the feels.
Degrassi was never short of drama, but the Netflix version looks like it's cranking the drama up to an all-time high. The new trailer, which was released by Entertainment Weekly, reveals that Grace is suffering from a potentially life-threatening illness, Maya and Zig may be breaking up over her music career, and Miles isn't dealing well with his rough home situation. Of course, it's not all depressing: Shay's biggest concern seems to be whether her crush will notice that her "junk in the trunk" isn't exactly natural. (You know, normal teen stuff.)
In addition to our already beloved characters, Degrassi: Next Class will be introducing us to a new crop of kids, including feminist Goldi, fame-seeking Vijay, and young entrepreneur Baaz. In addition to having the characters come from all walks of life and have wildly different aspirations, the newest cast members are also a culturally diverse bunch - something we definitely need more of on television.
I'm beyond thrilled that Degrassi is getting another chance at being the realest teen drama on TV with its latest incarnation, and yes, I will be binge-watching it when episodes start streaming on Jan. 15. Check out the trailer below:
In case you didn't know, Ugg boots - yes, those oversized fur boots you wore between the ages of 10 and 14 - have been a little under the radar the last few years. But we're happy to tell you, they are becoming totally cool again.
While the coziest boots ever made (a really, really popular opinion!) basically took over our style in the early 2000s with denim minis and Juicy tracksuits, the new look of the Australian shoe company is 2015 chic and wearable for many occasions.
Starting off its reboot in 2010, the brand collaborated with the crème de la crème of shoes - Jimmy Choo - for a limited edition women's sheepskin footwear products.
Then in 2015, Vogue UK dubbed Ugg boots fashionable again, being worn alongside Moschino totes and Aries jeans. Sure, the insane comfort factor with these boots is a major plus, and now, they are no longer meant for lounging in your apartment on a night when it is too cold to go out.
We think it's time we dig in the back of our closets and break out our old pair. Vintage, right?
Sequins are typically reserved for fancy evening events and New Year's Eve, but this season, the sparkly material is making its way into your casual, everyday wardrobe. Below are three ways to style sequins for work, school or weekend errands. The key to pulling off this unexpected trend? Keep the sequins to one centerpiece per outfit.
Depending on where you work, subtle sequins can totally work for an extra special conference or interview.
Keds are the ultimate weekend staple, so upgrade them with a little extra sparkle while running to your Saturday morning farmer's market.
Pair a sleek sequin crossbody to immediately update your LBD.
Niall Horan and Selena Gomez had dinner together on Monday night at Nobu in Malibu, and it looked anything but romantic, so don't even start with any dating rumors.
After all, earlier this month Selena said Niall is one of her best friends. Add to that the fact that they were spotted with a large party...and we'd say this looks like a friendly hang. That is, if you can even make out anything in the blurry dark pic. It looks like Niall sporting his new glasses and the backside of Sel's head.
The fan that posted the pic also said that the dinner was with her parents, but so far no there are no quality pics to back that one up.
UPDATE: GossipCop is shooting down any dating rumors, with a source telling the site that Niall and Selena are "just friends."
Selena and Niall 😍 btw she looks too cute with ponytail, I want selfie pic.twitter.com/HJa3PUPWiH- ᅠᅠ (@worthingselena) November 24, 2015
Ever snapped a super cool event and hoped that your vision would make it onto your city's SnapStory? If you never got the opportunity to show off that awesome local concert with the rest of your city, Snapchat's new feature may help your snaps get seen.
Snapchat is currently testing a new feature that they call Story Explorer, and it's the perfect way to explore your surroundings without ever removing your eyes from your phone screen. Now when you watch a Story in the city section, you can swipe up on your phone to see similar snaps. If you're watching a snap of a basketball game and want to see how things look from another angle, you can swipe up and see the view from a different seat via Snapchat. Pretty wild, right?
The feature will also help get your own snaps seen. If you snap a cool event in your city, you may not get picked as the top snap from that event, but you will likely be featured in the other angles from that event. Snapchat uses a complex algorithm to connect these stories, which includes things like time, location, and even the shape of objects in the photo. It's definitely an awesome new way to explore the world, but don't forget to actually go out there and make memories - not just watch someone else's via Snapchat.
Check out a video of the new feature below:
