Will Spencer and Caleb Hook Up? The 'Pretty Little Liars' Promo Hinted It

0
0
It's been a few months since Pretty Little Liars finally revealed A's identity, but Cece Drake being the elusive stalker may not be the most shocking thing to happen to this show. ABC Family has just released a new promo for the show's #FiveYearsForward season, and it may have hinted that two beloved characters are hooking up - and not with their current baes. Could Spencer and Caleb be hooking up five years into the future?! It may break Haleb and Spoby shippers hearts.

The promo doesn't explicitly show Hanna's ex and her BFF Spencer getting together, but the editing does raise some eyebrows. Spencer and Caleb are already in a few scenes in the promo together, and we see Caleb getting frisky with some yet-unseen girl shortly before Toby punches him right in the face. What would make someone want to punch their friend more than finding out that they slept with their one true love?!

Caleb kind of gets it:Okay, so ABC Family may be guilty of some suggestive editing here, but we can't totally ignore the theory that Spencer and Caleb may be a couple (or at least, friends with benefits) sometime in the future. We already know that Hanna has a new guy in her life, and that Spencer and Toby are done. While I'm not sure I'd forgive Spencer for hooking up with my once-loved ex-boyfriend, maybe these girls have worked out a system five years down the line.

Still, fingers crossed that this theory is just that - a theory. I'm squarely on Team Haleb and Team Spoby, and "Spaleb" just doesn't roll off the tongue in quite the same way.

Glitter Roots Will Be Your New Hair Goals

For years we've seen colorful tips and awesome ombres, but if there's one part of your hair that has often been neglected by cool trends, it's the roots. We've been so busy trying to cover up our roots that we've completely forgotten that they, too, can get blinged out. Enter glitter roots, the rare hair trend that starts at the very top of your head and will become your new hair goals.

This trend has taken over Instagram, and even has some famous fans, like Pretty Little Liars' own Lucy Hale. Though Lucy hasn't yet tried the trend, she did post an enviable hair pic to her own Instagram. Think Aria might want to try her hand at this hair style next season?

Luckily, this is one hair trend that you don't need a major commitment to do. If you want to achieve the look above, all you need to do is mix your favorite glitter into clear hair gel. The look shows up best on a dramatic part, so use your fingers to smooth your part with the gel and - viola! - you have a seriously cutting edge style.

Pretty much anyone can rock these roots, so why not break them out for your next party? Everyone needs a little glitter in their lives, and wearing it on your hair is unexpectedly beautiful.

Woody Harrelson Wore Pajamas and Socks to 'Hunger Games' Photo Call

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Paris : Photocall At Hotel Plazza AtheneeMost celebs hit the red carpet at premieres in glam gowns and dapper suits, but Woody Harrelson had something else in mind when he headed to the Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 photo call in Paris: comfort.

Proving that he has zero chill, Woody skipped the formal wear and wore his pajamas there instead, stepping on the red carpet Monday with a smile in blue plaid pajama pants and a comfy gray top and socks (no seriously, he didn't have any shoes on).

As for what he was thinking wearing that at the photo call in the fashionable City of Lights of all places, Woody told the Los Angeles Times simply in a statement, "Hippie motto: Peace, love, and comfort." His rep also insisted this pants were not pajamas...but didn't elaborate on what the pants (that looked exactly like pajamas) actually were. You can't pass those things off as plaid slacks.
FRANCE-US-ENTERTAINMENT-CINEMAAfter seizing that moment of comfort, Woody pulled himself together later that evening and rocked a gray suit with a striped button-down shirt for the premiere at the Grand Rex. He even wore shoes (dress shoes at that).
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Paris Photocall At Cinema Le Grand RexThe rest of the Hunger Games stars cleaned up too, with Jennifer Lawrence looking lovely in a white Christian Dior dress that kinda looked like pajamas too. Were J.Law and Woody in on this together?

The Star of Nickelodeon's 'Ned's Declassified' Is 24 Now and the Perfect Male Specimen

Nickelodeon gave us So. Many. Celebs. Think SNL's Kenan Thompson, actresses like Miranda Cosgrove and Victoria Justice, there's Grandfathered's Josh Peck, and ofc queen Ariana Grande. It's amazing how so many kids from Nick grew up looking better than how we even remember them (#PubertyGoals) and are still just as crazy talented.

Devon Werkheiser, star of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, is no exception.

Remember that show? Y'know, that awesome one that lasted from 2004-2007 where Ned gave us tips on how to make it through middle school, dealing with everything from bullies and exams to those awk and embarrassing moments that come with being a teen? If you've been wondering what he's been up to since the show ended, wonder no more!
Your favorite childhood crush is 24-years-old now and still a major cutie!
Look at Devon and that dreamy stare. LOOK. AT. HIM! *insert heart eye emoji here*

When he's not posting cute selfies, getting his life at Burning Man, or on road trips, he's doing something a little different - he's a singer/songwriter with pretty amazing pipes!

He already has two EPs out available on iTunes, 2013's I Am and Here and Now, which just came out this June. Click here for just a TASTE of what Devon can do. The boy can blow and We. Are. In. LOVE. Did we mention he's known to play charity events? <3
Sure he can sing like nobody's business, but he def hasn't left behind his acting roots. He's had roles in such shows as Greek, Criminal Minds, Franklin and Bash, and Never Fade Away. He had a starring role in the 2009 film, The First Time aaaaand he's got two films coming up, Veracruz and Sundown. We totes can't wait for those! Plus, he's a director: His first gig calling the shots was for an ep of the digital series, Nasty Habits. In an interview with MTV in last month, Devon gave advice to his younger self that we could all use. He said, "...all your dreams will come true. Everything that should happen in your life will, and everything that doesn't happen wasn't meant to be."
And his big heart is still there for all of his former Declassified fans. The hunk tweeted this late last year: "I loved the years spent playing on Ned's. It was such a joyful, exciting time. And I am still grateful for all of the Ned fans." Awwwww! We love you, Devon!

Nick Jonas Demi Lovato quiz game videoWe all know Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are total besties from way back. They're literally taking their love on the road with their upcoming Future Now tour, so they've been doing a bit of press together...which we are LOVING.

It gets better though - rather than answering the same basic questions, BBC Radio 1 host Nick Grimshaw quizzed the pals about just how well they know each other, you know, given their years of history?

Turns out, they know each other pretty well, which warms our heart about 75 more degrees because these two are already the cutest BFFs around.

Check them out as they're put through their paces: Demi's fave breakfast, Nick's favorite movie, where Demi went on her first date, how old Nick was when he had his first kiss...

This Girl Was Kicked Off Her Cheerleading Squad for the Craziest Reason Ever

ABC 13Do you get or have you gotten your cheerleading on before? Well if so, prepare to be pissed the eff off whenever you hear why a little girl in Texas was kicked off her squad.

ABC 13 is reporting that a Tomball, Texas mom is claiming her 11-year-old daughter was kicked off a cheerleading team because of her curly hair. Yes, you read that right.

Jenny Fallaw says her daughter, Makayla, was ordered to straighten her hair if she wanted to remain on the Woodlands Elite Cheer team. This isn't a league rule; it's one the team leaders chose for their cheerleaders. However, Jenny says this decision totally shocked her and her daughter.

"Just a few weeks ago is the first time I had heard about a special hairstyle," Jenny told ABC 13. "I felt like I might make my daughter feel like her hair is not good enough because she's not like other girls."

Jenny met with Woodlands Elite Cheer team leaders to explain the damage it could potentially do to her daughter's hair and self-esteem. The leaders responded by saying that Makayla's curly locks were fine for practice, but not for competition. They also didn't like Jenny's attitude about the whole situation and her unwillingness to compromise.

"It wasn't about hair. It was about we don't want this negativity on our team," said team director Kevin Tonner.

Whatever. We think Makayla's hair is gorgeous, and think a uniformed team is creepy AF. Maybe they need to reevaluate things over there...

Bring Your Parents to Work Day Is Officially a Thing

Bringing Parents To WorkRemember 'Bring Your Kids to Work Day' where kids go to work with their parents and get a chance to see what they do at work? Think of that in reverse and you'll have 'Bring Your Parents to Work Day,' which is actually a real thing.

LinkedIn started the fake holiday three years ago, According to Bloomberg, when a few of the company's employees realized none of their parents knew how they spent their workdays, and found out via research that one in three parents don't understand their kids' jobs at all.
Bringing Parents To WorkDuring Bring In Your Parents Day, parents have the opportunity to change that, and learn about what their kids are doing at their jobs. It's still a fairly new concept, but over 70 businesses have participated this year so far. At LinkedIn, for example, parents are given breakfast, a welcome by Chief Executive Jeff Weiner and a panel where employees talk about their jobs, for starters. Then, they head to lunch later in the day and get an office tour.

"It's a moment of gratitude," Catherine Fisher, a career expert at LinkedIn, told Bloomberg. "The sense of pride that you see in parents' faces when they get to meet their child's boss and have a super understanding of what they do day to day."

That's really what 'Bring Your Parents to Work Day' is all about - showing your parents that all of their hard work paid off and giving them a glimpse at the work you do every day...so they can go brag to their friends (even more) and stare at amazement at the things you're able to do on your computer.

Will Lady Gaga Come Back for 'American Horror Story' Season 6?

0

Following news that American Horror Story will be back for season six, there's been one big question left to answer: will Lady Gaga return to the show when it does?!

Mother Monster has been slaying her role as The Countess on American Horror Story: Hotel, so last month AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed to fans that he asked her to return next season. After a month of waiting though, fans still don't have an answer. Still, according to E! Online, there is hope. Sources reportedly told the site she wants to return in some capacity next year but no deal is in place.

E! News' Kristin Dos Santos also asked Gaga last month whether she would do another season of the show and she said, "I think I'd like to do like one great acting project a year. I think one a year would be great." At the time, the "Artpop" singer told Kristin she was interested in working on a film, adding, it's "about the right people, the right project," and that she was also interested in writing.
It's no secret that Gaga has enjoyed her time on AHS, though. She recently gushed about working on the show, telling E! News, "I'm happier than I've ever been now, because the people that I work with really, really care that my life is different and really, really work to make sure that I feel as normal as possible-so that I can have a great time and just be a normal girl, and just be a woman for Ryan on film, or you know... [laughs] a hemophiliac."

The hemophiliac she's referring to is her 100-year-old, blood-sucking character on the show, for which she recently scored her first-ever acting nomination - a People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Actress.

That alone is worth making a return to AHS. Fingers crossed.

J.K. Rowling Gives One Direction's Niall Horan Cameo in Her New Book

Niall Horan mentioned in new JK Rowling bookWe're totally losing it over this J.K. Rowling shout out to Niall Horan.

This is how you know you've made it. Forget One Direction's five years of runaway success as the biggest boy band on the planet. When you land in one of the Harry Potter author's books, you've just taken it totally next level.

Earlier this week, a fan shared a pic of a page from J.K's book Career of Evil (written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith), where characters Detective Strike and Hazel have a chat about a girl who claimed she was dating a guy named Niall.

In the excerpt, Hazel says: "She said his name was Niall. Niall. Honestly."

The character goes on to explain who One Direction are: "They're a band that came third on The X Factor. She's obsessed - she was obsessed - and Niall was her favorite."

How effing cool is that, srsly?

Does Lamar Odom Know That Khloe Kardashian Is Dating James Harden?

When Khloe Kardashian's estranged husband, Lamar Odom, was hospitalized after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel last month, the reality star dropped everything to be by his side.

While Khloe has said that she will always love Lamar, she also was in a relationship with NBA star James Harden, so nobody really knew if the Lamar situation changed that or not. Finally, Khloe is setting the record straight, saying that her decision to stay married to Lamar (they dropped their divorce after Lamar was hospitalized) had nothing to do with intimacy or rekindling their romance. And, for the record, she is still dating James.

Does Lamar know about that, though? "He understands I'm dating James," she told The Insider at her book signing in Los Angeles this week. "But it's not like...he's not thinking about a relationship. He can barely think about himself right now."

As for Lamar's health, he's speaking, but Khloe says he's not totally understanding everything, including the birthday party she threw for him at the hospital last week. Still, she knows he's grateful and she reiterates that she's not doing it for validation, anyway, she's doing it because she cares.

Starbucks New Gingerbread Drink Isn't the Same Basic Beverage

Starbucks @ XMas'Tis the season to indulge in lots of holiday-themed coffee beverages. We said farewell to Starbucks' beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte (see ya next fall!) and are now entering a season taken over by the Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread Latte. Of course, Starbucks isn't content with the same basic beverages year after year. Shortly after revealing that the Holiday Flat-White would come to the 'Bucks, Starbucks has announced a new gingerbread beverage that is completely sans coffee. And it sounds delicious.

Starbucks' latest beverage is rare because unlike most of its iconic drinks, this one is tea rather than coffee based. The drink, called the Teavana Gingerbread Tea Latte, is made with Teavana Royal English Breakfast tea, gingerbread flavors, and cinnamon spice. The flavors combine to give the drink a rich, warm, and very holiday-esque flavor. It's a great move on the franchise's part, as the Teavana Gingerbread Tea Latte is the perfect Christmas gift for anyone who isn't about that coffee life but wants a holiday beverage all their own.

Starbucks lovers are already embracing the holiday drink with open arms:
If you're cool skipping your traditional Peppermint Mocha, why not give this new beverage a try? You may find that the holiday season is the perfect time to become a tea girl.

It's a Match: Tinder Helped a Woman Find a New Kidney

circa november 2014 berlin ...Swiping on Tinder may be one way to find a potential bae, but one woman got so much more than that from the dating app: she scored a new kidney that she desperately needed. "It's a match!" just took on a whole new meaning.

According to People, it all started when Rich O'Dea, 43, took Jennifer Thomas, 35, on a date to an Imagine Dragons concert after they met via Tinder. Rich and Jennifer chatted about life, and in their conversation it came up that Rich's close friend Erika Bragan, 47, had polycystic kidney disease. Sadly, Erika's disease had progressed so far that she needed a new kidney to survive, which was challenging as she had an O-negative blood type and had already been on the list for three years.

Jennifer reportedly felt terrible for Erika, who, like Jennifer, is a mom. After some thinking, she decided to do whatever she could to help out Erika. Though her and Rich did not plan a second date, Jennifer got in touch with Rich in order to see if she could be a match for his friend. Incredibly Jennifer was a match for Erika - and after three months of testing, she agreed to donate her kidney to the mom.

A love connection may not have been made on this date, but an even rarer and more important match was. Major props to Jennifer for taking on such an incredible task for a stranger, and here's hoping she continues swiping on the app: I sense some serious love karma is coming her way.

3 New Ways to Wear Knits (And None of Them are Sweaters!)

0

Street Style - Day 3 - MFW FW2015With the crisp fall weather in full swing, we've been wearing sweaters and cardigans on repeat - but TBH, while we love a cozy knit, even our favorite sweaters are starting to feel a bit snoozeworthy. The quickest way to update your fall knit game? Knit pieces that aren't sweaters. We're talking dresses, skirts and even pants - they're the perfect way to achieve those snuggly autumn vibes and hit the "refresh" button on your wardrobe.

1. Sweater dress
All Knit Everything: Dress

Sure, you could throw on sweats and a tee on those days when even making it out of bed feels like an accomplishment - or you could fool the world into thinking you totally have it together with a cozy knit midi dress ($63, ASOS). (Hint: this look is just as comfy!) Toss a leather jacket ($99.99, Mango) on top for extra warmth and to break up the long silhouette. This simple, minimalist outfit looks amazing with a no-fuss pair of sneakers ($79.95, Nordstrom). Finish off the look by adding in eye-catching details - a statement ear cuff ($5.90, Forever 21) and a cool faux furry clutch ($69, ASOS) look trendy, but don't overwhelm this polished, less-is-more ensemble.

2. Ribbed pants
All Knit Everything: Pants

Knit pants ($48, Topshop) may seem tricky to nail since their snuggly sweater fabric can make them clingy, but shapes with a flare or wide leg tend to be on the more flattering side, and have a killer leg-lengthening silhouette when paired with chunky-heeled booties ($35, Boohoo). Dress them up with a floaty high-necked blouse ($39.90, Zara) and a tailored camel coat ($45.60, New Look). The must-have piece to add to any outfit this season? A skinny scarf ($19, Urban Outfitters) - which looks on-point draped around the neckline of your blouse and adds that retro, '70s vibe we're all going for this fall.

3. Pencil skirt
All Knit Everything: Midi Skirt

Want to try the all-knit-everything look? Pull it off with a ribbed midi skirt ($25, Wallis). Bloggers and street style stars like Danielle Bernstein of We Wore What have been spotted rocking the cozy look, and it's the warmest way to wear a skirt in chilly weather! To get the look, balance out the proportions of your pencil skirt with an oversize fringe-trimmed sweater ($34.99, H&M) on top. Wear the neutral look with a pair of oxblood faux croc booties ($119, Zara) to add a bit of color! Roll up the sleeves on your sweater to reveal a marble statement cuff ($6, Charlotte Russe), which matches the simple, clean vibes in the rest of your outfit A wool hat ($29.99, H&M) makes for a polished finishing touch!

What I Wanted to Say to the Girls Who Called Me 'Perfect'

0
0

For starters, there's no such thing as perfect.

As I walked into the gym after work last night, I was greeted by the friendly faces of the front desk ladies and one of my favorite female trainers whom I always indulge in casual banter with between sets. They were so quick to tell me how perfect they all think I am. They told me how cute my hair looked (it was tossed into a quick pony at the last red light I hit en route) and how they all love to talk about how pretty I look when I come in every day. Accepting this as factual feedback was pretty difficult considering I always feel like a hot mess, especially in my workout attire consisting of stretch pants and an oversized T-shirt.

They continued to compliment me by asking if there could possibly be anything wrong with me because they couldn't seem to find a thing. They even went as far as comparing me to Megan Fox and stated that even she is known to have a de-formative pinky toe. I was quick to tell them that my big toes are also in fact pretty disproportionate to the rest of my feet thus causing people to refer to them as "hammer toes." Although this seemed to put them at ease, I felt a little uncomfortable as I walked away.

It wasn't the compliments that made me uneasy; it was my subconscious response to counter each one. As soon as I let myself feel a little elated from the flattery, I automatically thought that I should have told them more of my imperfections. Why did I feel guilty for being complimented and praised for being a beautiful person? (Even the idea of typing that I'm a "beautiful person" causes me to feel shame and narcissism.) I found myself wondering why I felt so inclined to prove their flattery wrong when it seemed to come from a genuine and kind place.

As I started my workout, I couldn't help but reflect on all of the things I would change about myself. My hammer toes weren't even at the top of my list. I started to think that I should have told the girls that I have hair in places that I wish I didn't, that I get a "food baby" after almost every meal I eat and that I've got white spots that don't tan in the middle of my arms. I almost always get something stuck in my teeth, the bottoms of my feet feel like sand paper even after a pedicure and I have a pimple on my cheek that just won't go away.

Why is my brain programmed to automatically fight off the accusation of being "perfect"? So much so that I wish I provided a list to counter their compliments?

After thinking back to this experience, I wish I could have felt good about their flattery. I wish I could have taken their positivity and allowed myself to enjoy it without feeling guilty, shallow or narcissistic. As women, we owe it to ourselves to embrace all of the things we love about both ourselves and the women around us. In a world that tries so hard to break our spirit and challenge our positive energy, it's increasingly important to embrace these moments of flattery and encouragement, even if they're centered on the concept of beauty and beauty might not always be as valuable as brains (it can feel just as good if you allow it to).

The idea of perfection is subjective. If you are someone's perfect, there should be no shame in accepting that. I wouldn't encourage the idea of expecting the same reaction from everyone else in the gym or the world, but take that moment, that relationship, that experience and allow yourself to embrace it. Bask in all its greatness and try your best to prevent yourself from turning it into negativity. I can't think of an easier time to feel good about yourself than when others are feeling good about you. Every day, our world makes it more difficult to build our self-confidence, so we need to start allowing these moments to work as the building blocks.

I will never again feel obligated to put my hammer toe out into the universe as a way to balance flattery. Because I am perfect, in my own imperfect way.

Did I. Marlene King Just Shut Down a Major 'Pretty Little Liars' Rumor?!

0
0
los angeles may 15 lucy...If you're a Haleb shipper, you were probably freaking the eff out about a certain rumor involving your Pretty Little Liars baes. After a new promo for Pretty Little Liars Season 6B was released, some fans were convinced that it showed that Hanna's BFF Spencer was hooking up with Caleb, also known as the love of Hanna's life. (Who cares if Han is engaged to some other dude five years in the future?!) So, could that rumor be true? New tweets from Pretty Little Liars showrunner I. Marlene King are suggesting that the answer is a big fat NOPE.

While we don't yet know what Marlene is talking about in her tweets, she does make two things very clear. The first is that fans will be very happy with the romances going forward, and the second is that the Liars will remain best friends. That's reassuring on a few levels, since I'm not sure that Spencer and Hanna could really get past the whole "I'm hooking up with your ex" thing, no matter how much time has gone by. Marlene's tweets also suggest that maybe, just maybe, Hanna and Caleb will get back together down the road - their romance could end up being straight out of The Notebook for all we know. After all, according to Marlene, this is the "most romantic season" yet. See, guys? We have nothing to worry about! Well, except for another A, of course.

Fangirl Moment: I Met Sabrina Carpenter From 'Girl Meets World'

It was a really, really hot day outside. We just got into the Celeste Center at the Ohio State Fair, and we quickly checked in and got our V.I.P. tags. Then we got in line to meet Sabrina Carpenter. The Sabrina Ann Lynn Carpenter. I have to say, I was starstruck.

We were in the meet-and-greet line for about 20 minutes because we were farther back. But after a while, we made it to the front of the line, inside of Sabrina's trailer. When it was my turn, I walked to Sabrina, gifts in hand, and hugged her. She complimented my curly hair and when I showed her the gifts, she said, "Oh I love Bath and Body Works!" We then continued taking photos, and I hugged her one last time, hoping I would be able to see her again.

Then I walked over to her mom and sister, Sarah. Sarah was just a sweet as Sabrina as she complimented my hair and the gifts, saying that it was sweet. I hugged her and then went outside to get my autographed poster. But the real fun hadn't even begun.

We bought some Sabrina merch and headed to our seats. A local band opened up for Sabrina. Then it was time. She came out singing "Take On The World" from Girl Meets World. I sang the lyrics at the top of my lungs and continued to do so for all of her songs. The concert was spectacular as well.

Overall, I would definitely recommend a Sabrina Carpenter concert to anyone. She's a great live performer and is very talented. I hope to meet her again some day!

Is There a Good Reason Makeup Is so Expensive? Not Really.

0
0
Inside the Lotte Mall Gimpo Airport Ahead of Quarterly GDP FiguresFor all our fellow makeup addicts out there, shelling out our hard-earned dough for some upscale products we feel will last is an investment we're willing to make. But as wonderful as it is picking up that gorgeous lipstick tube at Sephora and bringing it home wrapped in red tissue paper, it can take a serious toll on our bank account. Why exactly does makeup, especially pro brands, cost so much, and are we actually paying for better quality?

It turns out, not so much.

In Style estimates that on average, a woman will spend $15,000 in her lifetime on makeup. We're not going to lie; there's a good chance we may even spend more. But when it comes down to it, only 15 percent of a product's cost can be attributed to its ingredients, cosmetic chemist Randy Schueller told Quartz.

But what about that remaining 75 percent? Well, the remaining cost creating the holes in our pockets comes from packaging, marketing and brand prestige. Yes, Nars lipstick may be glorious, but at the end of the day, you're pretty much paying for the name and the sleek black tube that draws you in. According to Randy, most makeups, pro brand or drugstore, are made from the same thing; ingredients usually include wax, oil and pigments, but what sets them apart is the brand attached to them and how they're sold. It's not about how pretty it looks on you, but how pretty the product looks to you.
Parallels and price of beautyIn fact, packaging has become such a marker of the prestige of a product that awards are given out to products with the best tube or palette design. Just ask Marc Jacobs, whose makeup line won the Pentaward for best worldwide packaging design recently.

Makeup also costs more depending on where it's sold. When you go to an upscale makeup retailer like Sephora or Ulta, you'll pay more for the product because cost is also going to the displays put before you, and the makeup artists hired to help you. Karen Grant, the global beauty industry analyst from the research firm NPD, also notes that these retailers will often provide you with testers and easy return policies that allow you to bring back your product, even if it's used or out of the packaging. All these things are factored into the cost when you buy that stunning, new pressed powder.

But despite all this, we continue to buy, because honestly it's hard not to. If you think about it, are you more inclined to buy a product thrown on a shelf and sealed in cheap plastic packaging? Or do you want the product coming in the sleek, decorative box with an applicator that is in itself a fashion statement?

Those marketing peeps really know how to do their jobs.

And the numbers seem to speak for themselves. Apparently, more and more people are buying pro brands at increasing rates, to the point where the industry is expected to make more than the $56.9 billion it made last year. And all of this is happening despite the fact that product costs aren't going up.

"What's happened is that there's a stronger growth for the prestige items, more so than the mass items," Karen told Quartz.
Multi Coloured Eye Shadow Palette and BrushBut Randy says it's important to remember that a higher price tag doesn't necessarily mean better quality. For example, when making shadow or pressed powder, Randy says that some smaller brands will invest in the cheaper manufacturing method of using a hammer mill, which tends to leave clumps in the product, and ultimately on your face. Larger brands, pro or drugstore, will invest in more expensive manufacturing methods which grind the powder into fine particles that give you a smoother finish. There's no way to know what a product's manufacturing process is, but it's safe to say that a well-known, well-established brand like Revlon, L'Oreal or Estee Lauder is putting more money into its products.

Now that you know the truth (though you've probably always expected it), what do you do next time you get to the makeup counter? Just remember, higher prices do not guarantee quality. Go for products by larger brands designed for the specific purpose you need. With some trial and error, you will find what products work for you, and it may even give your bank account a break.

Is Scott Disick Out of Rehab Already?

Celebrity Sightings In Los Angeles - May 15, 2015Scott Disick checked into rehab in Malibu less than a month ago, so fans were surprised when he appeared to have left already, especially considering that he's left rehab early before, people were concerned that maybe he left prematurely again.

The reality star hadn't been on social media since checking in and when he posted a pic of himself boarding a private plane with the caption "private aviation is my motivation," it definitely got people talking.

Despite multiple reports that Scott left rehab, however, E! News confirms that he IS still there and the post was just a result of him getting his cell phone back, NOT him leaving.

What's more, it sounds like Scott is doing really well there. "Scott has made an effort to cut bad influences out of his life. He knows a lot of people were using him. At the time, he didn't really care because he was caught up in all the partying, but he's finally realized the party has to stop," a source told the site. "He's focusing on a tighter, more loyal circle of friends-the people who were there for him before all the money and fame."

We commend Scott for taking this brave step and for sticking with it. We continue to wish him all the best in his recovery.

Khloe Kardashian was kind of caught off-guard when Keeping Up With The Kardashians first became popular and she found out she was being referred to as "the fat sister." First of all, she was never fat and second of all, her name is Khloe, thank you very much.

The good news is that Khloe is a bada** and she doesn't let the haters bring her down. In fact, when she found out people were calling her that, she says it actually made her STRONGER.

"It's so funny because I didn't think I was that sister," she told E! News at her Los Angeles book signing. "I didn't think I was the fat sister until people would call me that. And I was like, 'Am I?' Like I just didn't really think of myself as being fat."

She admits that looking back, she maybe wasn't as healthy as she is now, but she certainly wasn't fat.

The good news, though, is that people calling her that and trying to tear her down actually helped her build herself up. "It did make me strong for sure and being able to endure that stuff but it also makes me realize how like f**ked up people are," she said "How judgmental and how people's words can hurt other people and what affect it does have on them."

"I understand why some people succumb to eating disorders or just the peer pressure, I do get that," she admits. "But I'm proud of myself that I didn't and I'm able to walk away and actually say it made me stronger."

We love that Khloe was able to take that negativity and turn it into something so positive for herself.

Oh, and to the haters, wherever they may be, #ByeFelicia...
