Remember when Perez Hilton and Lady Gaga used to be friends? He called her his "wifey" and the whole thing? Yeah, well those days are long gone and we're kind of bummed about it. Not that we necessarily care who Perez Hilton is hanging out with and to be honest, we're still a little annoyed at Lady Gaga over the whole "puking as art" incident at SXSW, but we are not digging this Twitter drama one bit.A few months ago, the former friends went head to head on the social media site, each throwing in as much diss as they could in 140 characters, which, as we all know is easier said than done.
Gaga accused Perez of stalking her, he called her delusional, their respective fans started sending mean messages back and forth, the whole thing got really ugly.
Finally, Gaga released a statement on her Born This Way Foundation's blog asking her fans to stop sending hateful messages and to remember what she stands for before they start pounding away at their keyboards. That seemed to be the end of it from Gaga's standpoint, but Perez just won't quit.
As Gaga's ARTPOP album is failing to live up to the amazingness of her previous records, Perez is getting in his digs whenever he can. Most recently, the blogger has been having a field day with the lack of success her new single G.U.Y. is experiencing.
When Mother Monster got a little nostalgic and posted about her Twitter-joining anniversary Perez jumped at the opportunity to throw his two cents in...
As for Britney, who unwillingly got dragged into this bitter Twitter feud, she's taking the high road-- which we thought Gaga was, too, but was that "original Twitter queen" thing a diss to the new Twitter queen, Katy Perry?
While we don't condone the borderline bullying that Perez is doing, we don't condone throwing shade, either...no matter how subtle it might be. We are officially on team "None of the above" in this situation.
