Last night Cambio helped celebrate "Women in Music" in Hollywood with Elle Magazine. The awesome event, which raised money for VH1 Save the Music, was a who's who in music today. Featuring performances by Jessie J, Ellie Goulding, and Danish new comer Oh Land, this party was filled with some amazing ladies and awesome fashion!
We spoke with Nicole Scherzinger, who told us about the importance music had in her youth, especially in order to overcome bullying. Sometimes it just takes a song to inspire someone to know they have the strength to push through.
Karmin, or just Amy Heidemann of the duo Karmin (Nick Noonan, her fiance, was at home packing for their promotional trip for their upcoming album release of "Karmin, Hello"), spoke about how music was her everything as a child, and that she knew in second grade she was going to be in music when she grew up. That, or play in the WNBA! Who knew she was both a musician and athlete?
We asked everyone on the carpet to tell us what female artist, dead or alive, they would love to meet and chat with, and Jessie J was quick to answer Whitney Houston. A few of the other ladies agreed with that choice, while Madonna's name was brought up as well as Icelandic singer Bjork. Check out the video to see who chose who, as well as to get some awesome fashion inspiration from the looks on the carpet.
