The Sun reports that Katy says, "My music is about to get real f-ing dark."
Whoa.
Do you think her split from Russell Brand will factor largely into her music and lyrics?
Something tells us she'll be moving away from the Candy Land and Gummy Bear imagery and exploring some darker material.
Could be cool.
She also commented, "I'd like to use a time machine and go back to a specific date, please."
Hmmm... is she perhaps eluding to a time before Russell Brand came into her life?
Katy seems to be abandoning the party life as well, joking, "I feel like an 80-year-old in an assisted-living condo."
In a recent Teen Vogue interview, Katy admitted, "My life is crazy now," adding, "When you get to this level, there's a lot that's not real, but I really haven't changed."
She also shared, "I'm tired of being famous already! But I'm not tired of creating. Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do. It's quite a delicate creature - it's a wild animal of sorts. It can love you, and then it can attack you."
Katy had to clear things up on the "tired of being famous" quote, tweeting: "O the joy of something verbally said being taking out of complete context in PRINT. This is why there's a continuous ♥/☹ for the media world."
She added, "U see, the fame quote was spoken in jest (which is typical of me) BUT it's not really about that. The fact is: my success, & u my fans have afforded me the most incredible luxury: to grow as an artist & a human. THAT, I could not be more grateful for."
