Listen to Katy Perry's Acoustic Version of 'The One That Got Away'

Katy Perry has released an acoustic version of her latest single, 'The One That Got Away,' which will hopefully help the 27-year-old star achieve a major career goal.

The new rendition is completely stripped down, and offers a slower take on the sixth single from Katy's 'Teenage Dream' album. The song feels especially haunting now, considering the pop star's recent split with hubby Russell Brand.

'The One That Got Away' has been released as a remix featuring B.o.B., but the singer and her label are hoping that the Jon Brion-produced acoustic version will help make it a No. 1 single. So far, the song has peaked at No. 3, and is currently No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Thus far, Katy has tied Michael Jackson's record for most No. 1 singles from one album. If 'The One That Got Away' hits the top of the chart, she'll have surpassed the King of Pop.
