You know your friend who is constantly changing your Facebook status to something ridiculous when you're not looking or posting Instagram pics of you drooling in your sleep for their #WCW? That's pretty much Amy Schumer, as proved by her recent confession on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Amy sat down with the host to promote her new comedy Trainwreck, but ended up getting way TMI about a prank she pulled on Katie Couric. Warning: do not try this one at home, kids!
Amy's prank took place at one of the classiest events of the year: the Glamour Women Of The Year event, where both her and news anchor Katie were being honored. Amy was being honored for her smart, sassy, and totally feminist comedy, so it makes sense that this was also the place for her to prank one of her co-honorees. Amy was seated at a table with Katie, and when she saw Katie get up and leave her phone unattended, she did what any comedian would do: she hijacked it and texted something super risque (and definitely NSFW!) to Katie's hubby. The funniest part? According to Amy, Katie and her husband came back almost a minute later to say that they were leaving - perhaps because of the flirty text secretly sent by Amy.
No word on whether Katie or her husband John Molner found the prank funny, but hey, it's Amy - she's one of the greatest forces in comedy out there right now. I'd be more than honored to be pranked by her... even if the ensuing convo with my hubby was just a touch awkward.
