Move over. Hermione! Emma Watson is officially living every girl's childhood dream. She will be starring as the infamous book-loving Belle in Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.The Harry Potter actress kicked off the week by announcing the big news on Facebook. "I'm finally able to tell you... that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action Beauty and the Beast!," she posted.
"It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There'. My six year old self is on the ceiling - heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can't wait for you to see it," she continued.
We can't wait to see it, either. As soon as we heard the news we instantly started busting out, "Tale as Old as Time." Ah, such a classic. We couldn't think of anyone to play a better Belle, either.
We honestly didn't even know they were making a Beauty and the Beast movie. How freaking amazing is it that they are, though? Just when we thought that Disney on Ice show was as good as it gets...!
There has not been an official release date, yet. Production reportedly starts some time this year.
