Talk about an awesome way to ring in the new year.
Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz welcomed a baby boy Saturday at 1:52 a.m., they announced on Instagram Sunday, posting a shot of their little one's birth announcement, complete with his tiny footprints.
Their son, who they named Genesis Ali, weighed in at 6 lbs., 5 oz.. "The joy of joy is joy!! It's a boy!! we are so grateful!! #blessings!!," the 33-year-old "Girl on Fire" crooner and Swizz both captioned the snap.
This is the second child for the couple, who are parents to 4-year-old Egypt Droud. The 36-year-old music producer is also dad to daughter Nicole and sons Prince Nassir and Kasseem from previous relationships.
Alicia and Swizz announced in July that they were expecting their second child together, with the songstress captioning an Instagram pic of her pregnant belly, "Happy anniversary to the love of my life. And to make it even sweeter we've been blessed with another angel on the way!! You make me happier than I have ever known! Here's to many many more years of the best parts of life!"
The duo tied the knot in 2010.
