Bette Midler is definitely not an Ariana Grande fan. The outspoken singer/actress didn't pull any punches about her thoughts on Ariana in a recent interview - and none of it was too flattering.Bette not only took aim at Ariana's voice, but also shared her thoughts on Ari's decision to be so sexy.
The iconic celeb told the Daily Telegraph: "It's terrible! It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, slithering around on a couch, looking so ridiculous. I mean, it's silly beyond belief and I don't know who's telling her to do it. I wish they'd stop. But it's not my business, I'm not her mother. Or her manager."
She reasons that it's probably her management team calling the shots, explaining, "Maybe they tell them that's what you've got to do. Sex sells. Sex has always sold."
As for Bette's sage advice for Ariana or anyone in the the business: "Trust your talent. You don't have to make a wh**e out of yourself to get ahead. You really don't."
Earlier this year, actress Mayim Bialik had a similar gripe over Ariana's too-sexy image.
