During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres earlier this month, she asked him about his revelation in his memoir about having a one-night stand with a "major pop star."
He admitted that it happened and that it took place in Las Vegas. All right, so that takes care of the WHERE, but now we need to know the WHEN and WHO. "I'm trying not to give too much away without giving too much away... it was maybe six or seven years ago... eight years ago?" he guessed.
Mario said that he wasn't going to name names out of respect for his wife and because he's a gentleman, but Ellen guessed Britney Spears and it sounds like she was right.

Obviously, they've been able to put the past behind them. Mario has interviewed Britney since then and they also worked together when Mario hosted the X Factor while Britney was a judge. He even lent a helping hand to his pop star pal during the opening weekend of her Las Vegas show.
