This will be Carrie Underwood's last Christmas without a child, and she's already promising to make the holiday special every year for her baby. She's all about creating new traditions for her family.During a recent interview with CMT, the country singer talked about celebrating Christmas, and how she intends on doing so when baby Fisher comes early next year. "We're going to have to make some family traditions," she said. "My family never really stuck to the same things. We never really had the traditions that we always did."
Looking ahead, balancing her career and family is at the top of her to-do list as she and her husband, Nashville Predators hockey player Mike Fisher, plan for her first child to arrive.
"That's something that has definitely been on both of our minds," she included. "We are just crazy. Our lives are weird, you know? They're awesome, and we're so blessed, but we're coming and going and all that stuff, so we're definitely going to have to reevaluate everything and just make time, make room and make that a priority."
"Right now, my schedule and my husband's hockey schedule kind of dictate our holidays," she added. "I told him recently, 'You know, I'm really tired of skipping holidays. So from this moment on, I think it's just so important no matter where we are or what we're doing, we have to make it special.'
"And, I think that's going to be our tradition, and I hope that my kids later in life are going to be like, 'Mom always tried to make that special even if we were crazy someplace or dad was off playing hockey or something like that. She made it special.'"
We're sure every moment in that baby's life is going to be special. She already admitted to giving it Grammy-worthy performances.
