Despite the fact that she has a very famous father, 21-year-old Paulina Pinsky has chosen to stay out of the spotlight for the most part.
Now a college junior, Dr. Drew Pinsky's daughter decided it was finally time to come forward with a startling confession.
In an essay on her school's news website, Paulina confessed that she battled anorexia and bulimia for seven years.
Paulina also appeared on CNN's New Day to discuss her struggle and how the fact that her father works in mental health helped her know exactly what she needed to do when she was ready to face the eating disorder head-on.
While Paulina originally published her essay back in November, it is only now getting major media attention, which is actually great timing considering this week is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week.
With all of the attention her story is getting this week, Dr.Drew took to Twitter to show his support for his daughter and released a statement to CNN saying, "We are so proud of Paulina and her outreach to help others and particularly empower women, when she recognized she needed help she sought treatment and actively engaged in the process and now she is using her insights to help others."
Paulina's mom, however, has been a little more quiet about the whole thing and if you watch the video above, you'll see why it might be a much more sensitive issue for her.
We comment Paulina on having the courage to speak out and hope that her sharing her story can help others who might be going through something similar.
