The One Direction guys react to their Midnight Memories album leaking--who thought it was annoying, who said it was frustrating, and who admitted they would listen to an album leak? Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne weigh in.
What did
One Direction think about when their album,
Midnight Memories, leaked?
Let's just say they were plenty frustrated by the incident--after all, the album's release is set for November 25.
The guys reacted to the accidental leak during their book signing yesterday, with
Liam Payne telling
Digital Spy, "It is annoying because there's this big build-up and it affects sales."
He added, "We really want a number one, so we're just kind of hoping for the best now. Hopefully people go out and buy it."
Louis Tomlinson echoed Liam's feelings, saying, "It's just frustrating when you work so hard on an album and you kind of want everyone to hear it at the same time.
He noted, "Some select fans won't listen to it until it's out, which is great. But there are others who obviously can't help themselves."
Count bandmate
Harry Styles as one who would probably sneak a listen if he was a Directioner, as he commented, "It's just nice to have an impact. If there was an album I liked and I could listen to it a week before, I probably would."
Gotta love Harry's honestly, but still, he said, "It's just nice to have that moment where it builds up to, 'Now it's out and everyone can listen to it.'"
Liam added that song leaks are something they've gotten used to, saying, "It happens these days all the time. There are some very clever people out there. You're buggers!"
