For starters, there was that time he stormed out of a press conference, only to reemerge later with a paper bag over his head, and of course, the fact that he seems to be especially fond of purple spandex lately, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.
During his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the lovable comedienne found a very subtle way to broach the subject.
"You've had a very interesting life in the last year or so...and I didn't know that because I don't really pay attention to this stuff," she began. "But, what happened?!"
The actor said he went through a sort of "existential crisis, which turned into some kind of exploration," and admitted that he'd had some "hiccups."
Things actually get pretty intense pretty quickly as he explains his background and what really drives him. In fact, we kind of wanted to jump through our screens and give him a big hug after we heard what he had to say.
