5 Seconds of Summer took some heat when they refused to stop for fans to snap pics over the weekend. To be fair, we expect that the demands of performing, touring and working on new music would make the guys want a little uninterrupted downtime once in awhile.But persistent fans...well, they persist sometimes. Not all of them, of course, but in this case, we're siding with 5SOS after three fans waiting for the guys in Miami were disappointed when they walked by without stopping to snap pics. And then one of them took to Twitter to slam the band.
Their security wasn't giving the fans an inch, ordering them to "stop now and do as your told," while explaining it was the guys' "night off" and adding, "you don't have to buy their music, that's your choice."
Calum Hood took to Twitter to set things straight, explaining: "hi I don't think you realize how many people we meet a day. Sometimes you need a break. You obviously don't realise that. Bye."
The fan? Well, she felt pretty bad about slamming 5SOS, tweeting later: "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH CALUM I NEVER MEANT TO HURT YOU THAT WASNT MY INTENTION I SWEAR"
She added, "I ALWAYS COMPLAIN ABOUT HOW I WANT TO GET NOTICED BUT NOW I JUAT WISH I DIDNT BC EVERYONE HATES ME INCLUDING CALUM...THANKS TO EVERYONE WHOS TWEETED OR DMED ME NICE THINGS IM. SHAKING So MUCH RN"
After being on the end of some rough comments, she tweeted: "I HAVE DELETED THE TWEET AND I HOMESTLY HAD IT COMING I WAS SO RUDE I JUST DIDNT TJINK HED NOTICE ME"
