Seems there's no truth to the Mariah bit at all, according to Ariana. In fact, she calls it an "honor."Mariah is a vocal powerhouse for sure, so while Ariana probably would like to make her own mark on music, being compared to someone with Mariah's pipes isn't such a bad thing. Plus, Ari is probably used to hearing it endlessly, so why not embrace it?
Ariana told Us Weekly: "Mariah has been a huge influence on me since I was a little girl. I've even done a cover of one of her songs. I don't think there are any negatives to being compared to one of the greatest vocalists of all time. It's honestly a great honor."
