We get that Twihards love Robert Pattinson...but this is a bit much.After reports surfaced that the Twilight star is dating FKA Twigs, the British singer started getting attacked on Twitter with a ton of racist messages.
"I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week," Twigs tweeted Sunday. "Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it's unacceptable online."
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Twigs has experienced racism. The "Two Weeks" singer also had to deal with it earlier in her life, telling Dazed in June, "People said horrible things about something I had no control of, which was tough. I never really saw anything wrong with how I looked, it was more that certain people pointed things out to you about yourself. Either your hair's different, or the color of your skin, or your features."Still, she hasn't let that get her down. "Half of my life I've had people staring at me because they think I'm funny-looking and ugly," she continued. "The other half of my life I've had people staring at me because they think I'm fascinating."
Rumors that Rob and Twigs were dating first sparked when they were spotted out together in New York City in August. They've been seen hanging out quite a bit since then, including a recent trip to Venice Beach, Calif. where they confirmed their budding romance by holding hands along the boardwalk.
