After news of their split surfaced Thursday, Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo both broke their silence about it.Although the American Idol alum didn't directly address her split, she tweeted, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened," Friday. She also changed her background picture from a coupled-up photo of them to a solo shot of herself.
Meanwhile, the "Wiggle" singer opened up about it a little during an interview on 101.3 KDWB,
Thursday when Twin Cities radio personality Big D asked him about the breakup reports.
Although Jason was hesitant to talk about it at first, saying, "I'd rather not, man," he later addressed the situation, adding, "Yeah, everything is cool...[it's] not a bad situation. You know, it's not one of those kind of things."
The couple broke up after three years of dating and plenty of PDA. According to Us Weekly, Jason and Jordin are both "upset" about their split. "It just wasn't working out," a source told the mag. "It was a lot of travel and hard to work with their schedules."
