Don't look for Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo to pack on the PDA anytime soon.The lovey-dovey duo has split, according to E! Online, which reported that their break up was mutual and Jordin and Jason "still care very deeply for each other." A source told the site that they will still remain in each other's lives as friends in spite of calling it quits.
The singers first went public with their romance in January 2012, when the "Wiggle" crooner confirmed their relationship. But, they had been sparking rumors that they were dating as far back as September 2011.
Considering how open Jason and Jordin were with their affection for each other, their split does come as a bit of a surprise.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the American Idol alum posted a coupled-up selfie with her former beau, captioning the shot, "You know what? @jasonderulo is the best workout buddy! Thanks for encouraging me & pushing me to go harder!! BOOM! #getitrightgetittight #healthie #speezyfitness."
They were also all smiles at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, where they showed up canoodling on the carpet in matching white ensembles.When Jason's birthday hit Sept. 21 though, we didn't see a lovey dovey post from Jordin, and Jason posted an Instagram shot of himself celebrating his birthday with Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri instead of with her.
