$4,000 for a Taco? Fast Food Chain Accidentally Charges Customers Thousands

So much for the "Buck and Under" menu. Del Taco accidentally introduced the "$4,000 and Above" menu over the weekend when a Southern California store experienced a credit card glitch.

About 150 customers were shocked when their credit cards were charged thousands for their burritos, crinkle-cut fries and other goodies from the fast food chain.

One customer was charged $4,050 for one CrunchTada Pizza and two beef tacos. Dang, for that price, he hopefully got some extra cheese or at the very least, a side of guacamole. "I don't even think I've spent that much in the last five years," Michael Cole told the Ventura County Star.

Still, that's not going to stop the man from visiting his fave fast food chain. "It's not going to deter me from coming back," he said. "I'll probably use cash from now on." Wise move, man. Anyone who's ever had a Bacon Double Del Cheeseburger knows that you'd only be punishing yourself if you stopped going altogether.

As it turns out, Michael wasn't even the biggest spender. Another customer was charged over $10,000 for her $10.20 meal. Fortunately, the problem has been fixed and the excessive charges will be refunded.
