Coachella is a lot of things, but one thing it is not known for is being family-friendly. Usually, that's a place people go to get away from their parents to do as they please for a couple of days and hope that mom and dad don't find out what they were up to during their little trip to the desert. Alessandra Ambrosio, however, decided that she would actually take her kid to Coachella with her...which wouldn't really be that big of a deal, except for the fact that she's FIVE years old.
Alessandra posted a couple of typical spring break photos with her daughter, where they are riding a ride at some sort of carnival or something and little Anja has her face painted and it looks she's having an age-appropriate time.
Then, they took off for Coachella and Anja's spring break just got WAY more interesting than the rest of her classmates--which isn't necessarily a good thing.
The model posted this pic of the group of girls headed out to the desert and fans were pretty quick to criticize her parenting decision.
"If you have to drive to Coachella in a car seat, then you are probably too young to go," one person wrote, which was a lot more kind than some of the other commenters were. "Really sick to bring a kid to a festival! Bad parenting," another wrote on this photo of Anja and her friend throwing up a pair of peace signs.
Still, some people were quick to defend Alessandra's family festival trip. One person said it was a good idea to take Anja there so she could be exposed to all of that and see what's out there. Another, who obviously has great foresight, pointed out that the photo below is going to give her an epic #TBT pic when she's older--if people are even still doing that in 20 years.
