Kim Kardashian was paid big bucks to be an Austrian businessman's plus one to the annual Vienna Opera Ball, but she bailed before the night was over. Richard Lugner is an 81-year-old billionaire who regularly pays celebs to escort him to the annual gala. In the past, he's taken Paris Hilton and Carmen Electra as his dates, but this year, he invited Kim for a cool $500,000.It sounds like he'd probably like a refund right about now. Before the event even started, he complained to local media about the E! reality star. "Kim is annoying because she's not sticking to the program," he reportedly said. "She's filming and so she doesn't want to have me around." Lugner was upset that Kim was shooting scenes for Keeping Up With the Kardashians after arriving in Austria instead of spending time with him.
Things continued to go downhill at the actual event, when the 33-year-old was posing for photos with her date and got approached by a white guy in blackface pretending to be Kanye West, according to TMZ. "She walked away from the guy, but had to stay another hour and a half," TMZ says.
The last straw was apparently when a guy approached her and asked her to dance. Kim demurred that she wasn't a good dancer, and the dude then asked if she'd reconsider if the orchestra played "N****rs in Vienna" (a derogatory take on a Kanye's hit song "N***as in Paris").
Kim also claims that Lugner was aggressive, grabbing her at times and begging her to lose her security so they could be alone. It sounds like he thought he was hiring an escort to us. Do you think Kim was rude to leave? And is she still getting paid her full fee?
