Kristen Stewart has landed Robert Pattinson as her date to the 'On the Road' premiere in Cannes.
Not too shabby!
Of course, Kristen and Robert will both be in Cannes promoting their separate projects - she's got 'On the Road' and he's there for 'Cosmopolis.'
E! Online reports that K-Stew and Rob will be in Cannes together, with a source squealing that he will be escorting her to the 'On the Road' screening.
Kristen's mom, Jules Stewart, is also rumored to be attending too - playing chaperone, perhaps?
Kristen and Robert are so private, they typically only step out together publicly when they're promoting a 'Twilight' film.
Of course, Robsten fans probably won't see much red carpet PDA, since they keep their dating status on the low-down, but we're hopeful we'll see them out and about in Cannes together in some candid shots.
In other K-Stew news, she's taking some heat for an interview with Australian mag Film Ink, in which she says she's "proud" of 'Snow White and the Huntsman.'
Some are taking her comments to mean that she's not as smitten with her role as Bella Swan, but maybe people are reading into it too much?
HollywoodLife.com shares Kristen's quote:
"It is fairly common to have your story as a woman, even if you're the protagonist, facilitated by all of the male characters. It's so rare to have a female lead character being so proactive. She pushes her own story forward, rather then being affected by all of the outside elements. Hopefully we do that, I'm really proud to be a part of something like that. It's always good for women to feel empowered."
She adds, "It's cool to play a character who's able to step outside of herself and consider others in an almost supernatural way. But, at the same time know that she's human and has those struggles and still fights for herself as well. She's the essential leader. The definitions of a hero... so many of our heroes are a-holes. They find pleasure in hurting people. She doesn't. Yet she can seriously take care of business."
It doesn't exactly sound like she's throwing any hate at her Bella character, does it?
