Elle & Blair Blog: Pony Up! 3 Fun Ponytail Ideas

Hi beauties! Ponytails are such a versatile hairstyle. They can be sporty, preppy, fancy, and so much more. It all depends on how you style them!

Here are 3 of my favorite ways right now to give this classic look a chic and girlie update:

1. The first ponytail look that I like is an old school cheerleading-inspired ponytail that sits higher up on the head and has a ribbon or bow tied around it. If you're not into ribbons or you feel like you've outgrown them,you can wrap your hair around the tie instead to still give it a polished look. (Click here to peep a pic!)

2. The next look to try is a chic, sleek and low ponytail. I love Jennifer Lopez's hair in this scene from The Wedding Planner. The top is really slick but the bottom is loosely curled for a lovely look. (picture above)

3. A third ponytail idea that I'm loving is a fun, beachy, almost side ponytail look. This type of ponytail is perfect for the spring and summer. In fact, I would even add a flower! Just secure the flower of your choice into your hair tie for some effortless summer style. (See a pic here!)
