Lamar Odom Is Done In Dallas

Former Los Angeles Laker and newly traded Dallas Maverick, Lamar Odom, has released a statement saying that he will "step away" from the Dallas Mavericks...effective immediately.

"I'm sorry that things didn't work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs' organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship," Odom added.

Lamar hasn't been cut from the team. He will be listed as "inactive" for the rest of the season, leaving availability for a trade later.

After record lows for Lamar this season, it was clear that Dallas probably wasn't the best move for him. From the get-go, you could just tell that he couldn't get back to his old L.A. Laker ways on the court.
