Matt Nathanson recently appeared at GRAMMY Camp - SoundCheck with Scars on 45, performing for high school and college students at the Cannery Ballroom in downtown Nashville.The 'Faster' singer also dished out music advice to the audience, and opened up to Cambio about the importance of music programs in schools and how they changed his life.
"I think music in schools is crucial, because when I was a kid, it was crucial to me," he said. "I started my first band in fifth grade. I didn't play sports and I wasn't super popular, and so it was a real outlet for me. I just think we need art in schools, and so if kids don't have that option, it's sort of absurd."
