We here at Cambio bet you didn't even know Cassie could sing, huh? Well, as it turns out, she originally moved out to Los Angeles to pursue a singing career with the girl group Slumber Party Girls. She even had her own solo deal with Geffin Records. Yup, Cassie is a triple threat!
But she is also very smart about how she is pursuing her music career. She is being very careful about wanting to be taken seriously as an actress as well as a singer. With a wise soul for a 22 year old, Cassie understands the struggle of being taken seriously as an actress and a pop star. She is looking for the right time to get back into music. "Maybe there will be a film where I get to sing in." Wouldn't that help with the transition! It worked for Beyonce (going from singer to actress of course).
"That's how I live my life, always taking challenges." And singing the National Anthem at a huge sporting event like the Los Angeles Galaxy game is a risk. But Cassie seems ready for it. We hope David Beckham is too!
