Kesha Speaks Out on Behalf of Baby Seals in New PSA

Kesha is a major animal lover, and after being appointed as the first global ambassador for Humane Society International, she's using her new role to speak out on behalf of baby seals.

"Every year, thousands of baby seals are clubbed to death by Canadian fishermen," the pop star says over images of the adorable animals. "You can help by pledging to boycott Canadian seafood."

This isn't the only HSI PSA Kesha has filmed. In December, she starred in a video that focused on the cruel treatment of stray dogs. "These dogs too often are treated like they're a nuisance, becoming victims to poisoning, electrocution, and shootings," she says in the clip.

Since teaming up with Humane Society International, Kesha has stayed true to her original statement about the role. "I take this opportunity incredibly seriously because we are ALL animals," she insisted. "One of the main underlying sentiments of my music is to respect all living creatures just as they are."
