Carly Rae Jepsen recently signed to Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun's new label, Schoolboy Records, and now the 26-year-old singer is opening up about the exciting news."This experience so far is renewing hope in me that dreams come true," she said in a statement. "I feel so blessed to be a part of the Schoolboy/Interscope family."
Carly is just breaking new ground in America, but the Mission, British Columbia native has been making waves ever since she placed third on the fifth season of 'Canadian Idol' and landed a record deal with Fontana/Maple Music. She has earned two gold singles and numerous awards, and has sold more than 200,000 singles in her home country, so she's not entirely new to the music biz.
Now she's ready to take on the U.S. and beyond, with a little help from The Biebs. "I feel as an artist I have a responsibility to pay it forward," Justin added. "When I was home in Canada I heard Carly and I became a fan and felt like I could help her the way Usher once helped me. The good news is she is a superstar."
