Blake Shelton was beaming last night when his contestant Danielle Bradbery won 'The Voice.' After the show, Blake opened up about Danielle and where he thinks her career is headed. Blake Shelton scored a trifecta last night when his contestant Danielle Bradbery was announced the winner of The Voice (the season two AND three winners also coached by the country crooner).While Blake was nervous going into last night's finale show, noting that it was so close on iTunes, he told his wife Miranda Lambert that it was so tight there was no way he could call it, he can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Danielle came out on top.
Now, Blake is sharing his feelings about Danielle and he has some pretty strong statements about the 16-year-old contestant.
"Danielle Bradbery, and I've said this on the show, I think might be the most important artist to ever walk across The Voice stage," he told Entertainment Weekly after the finale. "We've seen some artists come and go who've had record deals before, who have done some things before. Danielle Bradbery may be the first person we've actually discovered here on this show."
Blake is, of course, referring to the fact that the show has often been criticized for not having a huge breakout star like American Idol has had with many former contestants.
As for Danielle, she's really excited about having Blake be a big part of her career, saying that she "definitely would love to have Blake included in everything."
Having seen how well these two work together and how excited Blake is about Danielle, we think she has a pretty good chance of having that wish come true!
