Three mixtapes and a shoe line later the new kid on the block, Diggy Simmons, just got through headlining his own tour. The Copy Paste rapper kicked off The Life of the Jet Setter Tour fresh off of the Scream Tour that took 2011 by storm.

The tour was organized for Diggy and other artists to connect with his fans, whom he refers to as Jet Setters, in preparation for the release of his debut album. Joined by Jacob Latimore, OMG Girlz, Jawan Harris and TK-N- Ca$h the show made six stops starting in Atlanta and ending in Washington D.C. With similar fan bases, it is only right that the future of hip hop and R&B would join forces. Rap duo TK-N Ca$h of Ludacris' DTP Records are the freshest faces included in the line-up. Like the headliner of the show, the ladies of the OMG Girlz got their start on reality TV as well. The pandemonium that these young artists have the ability to cause is very reminiscent of what the likes of Ciara, Bow Wow and Lil Wayne were able to do during the early years of the Scream Tour.

Seeing a pre-teen Daniel "Diggy" Simmons on his family's reality show Runs House you would have never guessed that he would become the next best thing in hip hop. It was actually his older brother that showed an interest in following in the footsteps of their father Run of the legendary rap group Run DMC. After the release of his first mixtape First Flight in 2009 and his remix to Nas' "Shook Ones" the following year, Diggy's buzz sky rocketed. The 16 year old MC has been taking flight ever since he first hit the hip hop scene.

In the video trailer for his debut album, the teen sensation is shown behind the scenes at the photo shoot for his album package. Since signing a deal with Atlantic Records in 2010 the world has been waiting anxiously for a full-length album. Simmons' debut Unexpected Arrival is set for a March 20th release, the same date as the debut album of Young Money rapper Lil Twist. It will be quite interesting to see what kind of friendly competition transpires between the two of them and what it will mean for the future of young hip hop.
