Michelle Chamuel's coach Usher surprised her on 'The Voice' during rehearsals last week when she was practicing her Taylor Swift song and Taylor stopped by for a visit. In what might have been the coolest moment on The Voice so far this season, Taylor Swift surprised Michelle Chamuel during rehearsals last week while she was practicing Taylor's "I Knew You Were Trouble" for her performance.While Michelle was singing, her coach Usher popped out of the room for a second and returned with Taylor, who seemed to love Michelle's rendition of her super popular song.
Although it looked like Usher had the whole thing planned all along, he revealed to Access Hollywood that the whole thing was actually an impromptu pop-in.
"[Taylor] was next door rehearsing in the same space that we were and we're kind of friends, and I went over just to check on her and see how she was doing," he said. "And it just so happened that Michelle selected her record. We had no idea that she was gonna be there."
He said that he asked Taylor if she would mind stopping in for a second and, of course, she agreed.
Whether it was the visit from Taylor or something else, Michelle stepped it up yet another notch during this week's performance and absolutely owned the stage and the song.
"She killed that song. It was so cool how she kind of twisted it around," Usher gushed. "I can only imagine what incredible things she's gonna do -- or I'm gonna be able to do with her -- once we start her career outside of 'The Voice,' whether we win or not."
Wait, what HE'S gonna be able to do with her career?! So, they're going to keep working together even after the show?
