'The Voice' judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton explain the meaning behind their tattoos. Plus, find out which one of them has a "mom" tattoo.
The Voice coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton recently sat down with Oprah Winfrey for Oprah's Next Chapter and Oprah asked the guys to explain the meaning behind their tattoos.
Adam was up first, and explained that one of them is his lucky number, one is a drawing of his first guitar and another, he got for Maroon 5's ten-year anniversary.
So, that explains three of them...but what about the others?
"Some of them mean something, some of them don't," he told Oprah. "You get on the road, you get bored, you just do it."
Unfortunately for Adam, his mom isn't too thrilled about her son's body art. "My mother hates them," he confessed. "She hates 'em, even though I've got a 'mom' tattoo."
As for Blake Shelton, he only has one tattoo, but you won't find a philosophical meaning behind that one, either.
"It doesn't mean cr*p," he said. He explained that he just decided he wanted deer tracks and didn't know what they looked like, so he drew what he thought they looked like and the tattoo artist just copied that.
Then, he got the barbed wire to try to distract from the makeshift deer tracks.
