Chelsea Kane, Derek Theler, Jean-Luc Bilodeau and Melissa Peterman dish on the show's season 2 and their tight friendship! "It's strange. We have group text messages going all the time," says Chelsea.Ready to get an inside look at Baby Daddy?The cast of the ABC Family show gave us a quick behind-the-scenes look at the comedy's set and dished on how close they've become since season 1.
"We're actually one of those weird, oddly close crews," Chelsea Kane, who plays Riley Perrin, told us during a set visit. "We tape on Friday nights, and after every show, even though we've been together all day, we still end up going out afterwards and stay over at each other's houses and throw parties. It's strange. We have group text messages going all the time."
Jean-Luc Bilodeau (Ben Wheeler), who just moved into his co-star Derek Theler's house, agreed, saying "We've got a really great group here...[Derek and I] spend just about every minute together anyways."
"It's pretty much a challenge just to not laugh during our takes because we're such close friends," Derek, who plays Jean-Luc's brother Danny Wheeler, added. "We're a family. We love each other."
And let's just say Melissa Peterman, who plays their mom Bonnie Wheeler, doesn't mind working with this cast one bit.
"We're really tight," Melissa said. "It's a really good place to work, and I won't lie it's fun to look at this cast. There's some pretty people here."
Baby Daddy's season 2 premieres May 29.
