When we caught up with Emile Sandé on the red carpet at Wango Tango recently, she talked to us about her summer plans and her version of Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" for The Great Gatsy soundtrack.
Just cause summer is approaching doesn't mean Emile will be taking a break. "I'm back in New York to do a little writing for my second album," the English-born Scottish singer told us. "And there's a tour coming up in July so I'm excited to come back over here and perform in the states."
And we were excited to talk to her about her cover of Beyonce's "Crazy in Love." "I was trying to channel The Great Gatsy in the 1920's," Emile said. "It's such a classic song and trying to take it on was slightly daunting, but I'm happy that it worked out." We're happy too.
Though she hasn't heard from or met Queen B herself, "I would love to [meet her] and I'm going to ask her directly what she thought," Emile said. "Regardless of the answer!"
