Did Lady Gaga check herself in to rehab?
We know Lady Gaga is currently rehabbing a hip injury, but rumor has it she's now checked in to a different kind of rehab...for a substance abuse problem.
According to a blind item on Naughty But Nice Rob, a "theatrical pop star who has been taking time off to heal from a physical inquiry" has checked in to rehab and was very serious about getting help.
Although they don't explicitly say it's Gaga, they make it even more obvious by saying that the person was "almost unrecognizable without all the costumes, wigs and makeup."
They also add that this "pop star" has copped to being plagued by drug and alcohol problems in the past...both of which Gaga has openly admitted.
While speculation alone isn't enough, there is even further evidence to support the theory. Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported that the rehab facility is in Malibu, CA and Lady Gaga was recently spotted being driven around the city looking very despondent.
If Gaga is getting help for a substance abuse problem, the timing couldn't be any better. The eccentric singer had to cancel the remainder of her "Born This Way Ball" so that she could undergo and recover from hip surgery, so her career obligations are minimal at the moment. Plus, for something so serious, there is no better time than NOW!
Knowing how open Gaga is about all of her trials and tribulations, we don't expect that she'll go to great lengths to hide this part of her journey from fans if it is, in fact, true.
