It pays to be a famous pooch!
During Tom Hiddleston's acceptance speech for Best Villain for his role as Loki in The Avengers, he felt he owed a bit of gratitude to Liam for naming the dog after his character.
Tom noted, "I want to thank Liam Payne from One Direction, who I believe has named his dog Loki."
He added, "Now, Liam's dog Loki is unquestionably better looking and certainly better bred--and probably better known. It's probably got more Twitter followers than I do."
Liam's girlfriend (and lucky Loki co-owner) Danielle Peazer tweeted: "Oh my god, me and @Real_Liam_Payne have just seen this! So amazing."
Liam tweeted about the thrill of the Movie Awards mention, writing: "Ok so just got up to find that @twhiddleston mentioned me and my dog in his speech how amazing aha what a hero"
