Or rather, he gets a bit uncomfortable when there's a crowd of fans. It seems Niall is a bit claustrophobic when it comes to getting surrounded by groups of screaming girls.
Go figure.
Unfortunately for Niall, that kind of attention comes with the territory of being in the biggest boy band in the world.
Niall said that it actually scares him to be surrounded by a crowd, telling We Love Pop (via Capital FM), "I'm quite claustrophobic and I don't like everyone crowding around and shouting the same questions."
We totally can understand how that would be overwhelming.
Niall added, "I get a little bit scared sometimes. It's all good as we've got a good security team."
So, if you ever meet up with Niall, know he likes to have a little distance between himself and a mob of fans.
We're guessing his claustrophobia admission isn't going to diminish the adoring girls that approach him though.
