Rihanna disappointed nearly 2,500 excited high-school fans when she showed up more than four hours late to a charity concert on Friday.The "Stay" singer was originally scheduled to perform at Barrington High School in Chicago at 1:00 p.m, and didn't end up taking the stage until after 5:00 p.m.
The Barbadian beauty was continuously posting updates about her ETA on Twitter, and even posted a pic of the traffic at 4:22 p.m, but that didn't do much to appease any of the fans who were stuck sitting in the high school gym for hours on end, anxiously awaiting her arrival.
One student told the Chicago Tribune, "It's one thing to be fashionably late. This is just rude. Our lives don't revolve around a pop star."
Other students echoed the same sentiment, with one calling her "rude" and another saying "she should be more respectful."
Unfortunately for the already frustrated fans, when Rihanna finally did show up, she only stayed for 16 minutes because she had a regularly scheduled concert at Chicago's United Center later that evening.
Rihanna tried to make nice with the disappointed high school students, tweeting, "#BHS thank you man!!! You guys RULE!!! I love this school!!!," but the numerous angry replies she received seem to suggest that the damage had already been done.
