How about an auction? Would you be willing to pay top dollar for the chance to meet Louis, Liam, Niall, Zayn and Harry?
A recent charity auction had concert tickets and a meeting with One Direction on the block--and it seems no one was willing to pay quite as much as organizers thought people would bid.
VanityFair.com reports that at last week's Roundhouse Gala in London, which raises money for the theater, the 1D meet-and-greet item was expected to fetch top dollar.
Not so.
The auctioneer started the bidding at $7,500, but there were no takers, so the initial bid was reduced to $1,500.
Hey, sometimes you've got to start low and build the excitement, right?
Turns out, there wasn't much excitement for the meet-and-greet, as the One Direction rendezvous' winning bidder paid under $3,000.
Here's what the lucky winner got, according to auction details: "Catch the boys with two tickets to their show at the O2 Arena on Friday 5 April and become the envy of screaming teenage girls everywhere with a backstage meet & greet and a personalised signed photo."
