There is just something about Gary Shirley that has us all rooting for him.
Maybe it's his patience, his always-pleasant demeanor, the close relationship he shares with his mom...or maybe it's the way he's stepped up to parent daughter Leah all alone while the baby's mother, Amber Portwood, is in jail.
And for those holdouts who weren't already team Gary, the sweet tweets he's constantly posting to the popular social media site would melt even the coldest heart. Like this one, for example, "Took Leah to chuck E cheese. u spend so much more than just buying from the store, but memories u can't buy. Those are priceless."
Aww...so sweet!
Whatever the reason, we've been behind Gary since day one and it seems that all of our well-wishes are finally paying off.
While many of the Teen Mom stars have been criticized for living solely off of their income from the show, Gary has been working hard to make a career for himself, attending college to become a Certified Nurse Aide.
Gary recently tweeted that he had his state exams coming up, which many of us know can be grueling in and of themselves...but try studying with a toddler running around!
Not to worry, though, the reality TV star posted some good news to his Facebook page on Monday, telling fans that he had passed and thanking them for their support!
"Heads up friends I passed thank you for encouragement and kind words," he wrote.
Not only is he setting a great example for little Leah, but for all the teen moms and dads!
Way to go, Gary!
