Is Nicki Minaj turning into a big softie? Although the American Idol judge can be sharp tongued, on last night's episode, she got emotional!It was contestant Zoanette Johnson who brought Nicki to tears after her rendition of 'Circle of Life' from The Lion King. "Who gon' check you, boo? You just served it," Nicki exclaimed after all the of the judges gave her a standing ovation.
But Nicki got tearful when she began discussing how proud she was of the Liberian native for overcoming obstacles and making it this far. "I am so proud of you," Nicki said. "You're unforgettable; you're a superstar!" Keith Urban even crowned her "queen of the jungle". Obviously, she was one of the 10 remaining ladies who made the cut.
Idol hopeful Juliana Chahayed sang Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper', but struggled a bit with the higher notes. Hey, we all can't have Demi's pipes! Unfortunately, she was eliminated.
The five ladies left standing were Zoanette, Aubrey Cleland, Janelle Arthur, Candice Glover and Breanna Steer. Who was your favorite performance last night?
