%VIRTUAL-YouTubeEmbed-8dXOPQ_iDZo%American Idol returns tomorrow night and new judge Nicki Minaj sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to set the record straight about the blowup she got into with Mariah Carey on set last year.
"It was just two big old divas, I guess," Nicki told Ellen, explaining that she was originally hurt when she heard Mariah didn't want her to join the show.
"I heard them saying 'Mariah doesn't want you on the panel' but I was like, 'No, I am friends with Mariah.' And so I went there and I started to feel a bit of the shade," Nicki said, "And I just kind of overcompensated by being crazier."
The two ladies ended up getting in a screaming confrontation in October which was caught on camera, but Nicki says she has no hard feelings today.
"We're fine," Nicki said. "I cannot hold a grudge against Mariah Carey. So I don't know if she's gotten over it but I have."
We can't wait to see how these two divas interact on the show when season 12 premieres Wednesday night on Fox. Will you be watching?
