When The Ready Set stopped by the Cambio studio for a live chat, Jordan Witzigreuter and his bandmates stuck around afterwards to play a stripped down, acoustic version of their single "Give Me Your Hand (Best Song Ever)" and talk music.When it comes to his songwriting process, Jordan says, "It's almost like a puzzle." He usually starts with melody ideas and then fits in the lyrics.
Jordan thinks writing and recording "good songs" is harder than touring.
"Being on tour is the easy part," he says. "The touring is kind of the result of working hard in the studio."
The Ready Set have been working hard on their sophomore album, which they plan on releasing in 2013.
The band spent this fall on tour with The All-American Rejects and Boys Like Girls. Two of their favorite states to perform in are New York and New Jersey, but according to Jordan, small town shows are sometimes the best ones.
