In a statement released to People by his lawyer Monday, the singer said, "Krissy was and is an angel. I am completely numb at this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable. We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl."
Bobbi Kristina passed away at the young age of 22 Sunday in an Atlanta-area hospital surrounded by family, with the family saying in a statement, "She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
The aspiring singer was hospitalized Jan. 31 after she was found unresponsive in a filled bathtub in her home in Roswell, Georgia. She was placed in a medically induced coma and never fully regained consciousness. Although there seemed to be a glimmer of hope in March when she was transferred to a rehab facility, that soon faded when Bobbi Kristina was transferred to hospice care in June.
A source told the mag Bobby "is taking comfort in the fact that she's with her mother and that there will be no more sadness or pain. She is at peace. He knows that and is taking comfort in that."
So tragic. We're continuing to keep Bobby and the rest of the family in our thoughts.
