Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder have babies on the brain...but, not in the way you might think.The newlyweds - who already have a family full of animals - want to add one more little one to the mix: a pet pig. "We talk about pigs all the time," the Twilight alum told People Saturday. "I'm sure in the near future when we move our life back to the west coast, we will probably end up with a couple rescue pigs."
"We're going to probably rescue a pig that needs rescuing," she continued. Together, they already have four dogs, three cats and two horses - they adopted one of the kittens and one of the horses as a couple.
As it turns out, Nikki and Ian aren't the only ones who want a little piglet of their own - which is one of the reasons they're considering adopting one. "The pig thing has actually become an issue because so many people went out and bought these micro mini pigs thinking they would stay this big, and then they ended up growing into like a 30 pound pig and they didn't know what to do with it," she continued.
It would seem like taking care of nine (soon to be 10 or 11) pets would be an overwhelming responsibility, but these two are so passionate about animals and animal rights that we aren't that surprised they want to take on more.
Just one more reason Nikki and Ian are made for each other.
