Diddy won't stop, 'cause he can't stop - even he falls in the middle of a show. That's precisely what happened when the hip-hop mogul took a nasty tumble off the stage at Sunday's BET Awards during a Bad Boy reunion performance of Notorious B.I.G.'s '90s anthem "It's All About the Benjamins."Obviously we have to ask - what's to blame for the Diddy bop turning into a flop? According to E! Online, the 45-year-old Bad Boy fell through a hole in the stage. Fortunately, he seemed to recover just fine, climbing back up through the hole and continuing with his business of rockin' the stage. Sorry Diddy, but we can already imagine the memes that will come from this. (Also, there's probably a stage manager somewhere shaking in his boots.)
While Diddy will likely be the subject of some feverish online joking for at least the next 24-48 hours, he's far from the only celebrity to literally miss a step during a performance. If you'll recall, Madonna fell onstage at the Brit Awards back in February. Also, we won't soon forget a classic celebrity fall throwback moment in which an absolutely flawless recovery was executed by none other than Beyonce, who practically took flight while falling face-first down a set of stairs during a 2007 performance of "Ring the Alarm" in Tampa, Fla.
Obviously, this hasn't been Diddy's best week ever. The father of six recently made headlines after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting his son's football coach at UCLA.
Ah well, Diddy, you can't win 'em all. Brush the dirt (from the floor) off your shoulders, and keep it movin' like a pro.
