When the rest of us woke up on this Super Bowl Sunday, it was pretty much just like any other day. For Katy Perry, it was one of the biggest days of her career...and perhaps her life!The pop star took to Twitter to share her elation this morning, writing, "Today is the day that the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it!"
In case her cause for celebration wasn't clear enough, Katy shared this childhood photo of herself singing with the caption, "Today is for this girl. She had the dream, always believed in herself & her worth. Today she is the one smiling."

In spite of her insane success, Katy doesn't take any of it for granted. She is humble enough to realize that all those years ago, she was just a little girl with a dream and at the same time, she's grateful enough to appreciate that her dream actually came true. Hopefully she also realizes that she worked her butt off for everything she is today and she deserves every bit of that success.
And while that little girl inside of Katy might be smiling pretty big today, she's not the only one because we couldn't be more thrilled for her!
