Better ask her for permission, first.According to the legal database Justia, Tay has trademarked that phrase along with, "'Cause We Never Go Out of Style," "Could Show You Incredible Things," "This Sick Beat" and "Nice to Meet You, Where You Been?" Wait, what exactly does that mean?
It apparently prohibits the use of those phrases, which all come from her latest album, from appearing without a license on basically everything. From t-shirts to guitars, Taylor doesn't want her words on them at all.
Some of the best items covered by her trademark are typewriters, walking sticks, non-medicated toiletries, Christmas stockings, "knitting implements," pot holders, lanyards, aprons, and napkin holders. While we love us some T-Swift, we don't think we want any pot holders or toilet paper with her words on them any time soon...
All of this comes after Beyonce just fired off a legal threat to artists who created "Feyonce" mugs on Etsy. Apparently that was a little too Bey-like for her, and she thought they were cashing in on her fame. You can read more about that, here.
